I was not yet born in January 1984*. They didn't
tell us about it in school. But fortunately our Father of the Nation
wanted to give us a history lesson by making us relive the days of
January 84 when hundreds of citizens were killed by the same forces of
disorder which for five days had spread, shooting and bludgeoning around
the deep, forgotten country. He chose - or it was chosen for him - the
same office, to speak tonight to the people, as that from which the
Supreme Fighter** had addressed his unruly children.
